We have 1 IP phone that is garbled when talking.
And in 840 it shows the signal and voice ports. For all the connected IP phones, it has something other than 6000 and 9000.

Maybe the forwarded ports on the router are wrong I suspect. Anyone see this?

Anytime you see strange port numbers listed it is a direct result of an issue with the router. Typically the problem is one-way audio. If the audio is garbled, try changing the codec to G729. Garbled audio is usually the result of bandwidth issues.

Thanks Marc. The codecs are all set to .729
I changed only the one for that IP phone having issues to .711 just to see. I will let you know.
The provider is asking for a way to determnine proper bandwidth for the IP phones.

I would make sure your ITP software is on the latest software. I had this problem once and when I upgraded my ITP phone it went away. Also the 1.24 MGI load has fixed a lot of problems with the port numbers not showing up properly.

Yes, we are scheduling an upgrade next week.
Also, going to try and put that phone on the outside of the far end router. That way it is truly public.
