The v4.41 release note mentioned the following:

SMDR Buffer: in case of the collecting PC going off line, the system will buffer the SMDR data
1) SMDR~PMS services can be buffered.
(2) Buffer size for PC is 5000 (300 for 7200/7400) and all services share the buffer.
(3) Buffer size for PRINTER is 5000 (126 for 7200/7400) and all services share the buffer.
(4) If buffer is full, the oldest data will be erased.
(5) Data is saved as files for the case that PC or Printer is off. And the storing period is 15 seconds.
(Only modified data will be stored).

We've been doing a couple of tests, but it seems like is not working.
Is there any special procedure to enable this feature?

Regards,
Leticia

Maybe I am being too simple here, but if you have SMDR going into a computer now, simply turning off that computer should start the building up records and turning it back on should show those records flowing in (I'm guessing you would be looking at it in Hyperterminal.)

Do you have this hooked up to a printer or a computer? Are you getting records now? A bit more info would be helpful.

Hi,
I have in on a PC with hyperterminal. The SMDR data is being collected properly. I turn OFF the PC an then ON and the hyperterminal do not display any new records. The calls made in the time the PC was OFF are simply lost. the only display is the SMDR header.
I'm testing on an OS7200 with MCP (not MP20).
