I just moved a Samsung Prostar Compact DCS. No VM, easy install. I don't know the programming very well, but enough to get the basics done. I am finding that when a station intercoms another station by lifting the handset and dialing the extension, I get an error that says "unavail.CBT". I can't find that error message in the manual. How do I get these phones to intercom each other, and transfer calls?

it means you havnt a call button on the keysets you need at least one on every keyset for them to use intercom

Sound like a good idea. I've never run across a small system that didn't automatically have intercom ability, so this is a new one on me. There must be a reason, so I will add a call button and see what happens. Thanks!

That's strange as the system does default with call keys on the sets.Maybe it was like that before or someone overwrote the call keys?

Could be. I actually defaulted the system to get a clean start, and that's how it came up. Not a big deal, thanks for the info.

It is only important, the default question, when Others read about your result.

You could NOT have truly Defaulted you system IF
the phones came up without Call 1 & Call 2 buttons.
