Hi, we are experiencing a weird problem with VM prompts breaking into conversations with external parties. The vm is set to auto record all incoming calls on about 10 extns into a supervisors mailbox. This has been working fine for a year, but in the last 2 weeks they said that whilst on an incoming call with an external party both parties hear the vm play a prompt. Spoke to tech support and they have not heard this one before. The svmi has 8 ports. I have taken out the 4 ports of the daughter card to see if that causes the issue, although the daughter card has been onboard for 8 months now. Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

Which prompts?
Same one every time?
what does the port activity show when this occurs?

Not sure on both accounts I'm afraid. The customer says it sounds like the initial auto attend greeting that they hear. But because this is so random and has only occured a few times so far, we are not on site to watch port activity. My thinking is that because the calls are being recorded to a mailbox, the vm port must be in a 3 party conf with the 2 callers and is somehow barging in ???

7400 is 4.30b
SVMi not sure but has been installed as is for 3 1/2 years. Tech supp(who is ex Samsung and a knowledgable guy) could only suggest either VM corrupt or the daughter card/ports are the problem. I have removed these ports leaving only the original 4 and left the customer to monitor for now. It may be corruption because the system has been working well in this config for at least 6 mths.
