Well I clicked on order several times and nothing happened, so couldn't get the price. Here's my take.

1. When a fish goes good it goes good and bad, bad. Don't care what your using.

2. If I could get my fish tape each and every time to go exactly where I wanted it too in insulation I'd have no problems.

3. Hollow walls with a string and weight are usually no problem.

4. I've tried magnets before with marginal results.

5. I doubt it's as easy as they make it look and they are using ideal conditions.

So I guess if it wasn't too high priced it might be worth a try, or if they have a trial period.

There's my 2 cents Merritt for what it's worth.

Merritt I was finally able to get to the price, seems a bit steep. I see it's in Arlington, TX. Maybe Trace or another of our Texas friends could get a hands on demo and let us know if it's worth it.

the insulated wall video the insaltion is loose and they are able to get the mouse right next to the wall .

real world in my opinion thats not likely

no need for it in uninsulated areas

We have one at the cable company I started working for. I have used it a couple times and am pretty impressed so far. It works really well in insulated walls. I am going to go out and play with it a little more this weekend and will post back after that.

I checked it out at a tradeshow a year or so back. It was pretty good, but as justbill said I've always been able to do it with my fishtape.

It looks like a great idea and I have tried most of the wall fishing gadgets out there. Call me a cynic, but I don't believe that thing can beat a fish tape, a roll of string or fishing line and a small weight. These simple items will just about solve any wall fishing problem. The weight is actually optional.

Just like people think they are going to revolutionize the 130 year old telephone industry, people are also trying to reinvent the 130+ year old skill of fishing walls. Fishing is a skill, it's an art. I am all up for time savers, but fishing is a skill learned through the school of hard knocks. No new gadget can replace this.
