This system I acquired has the Options: "INS CID" --option?? what is it and how to I implement it?? The system is an Exec. IDS-42

The CID option is for caller ID. You need to have the caller ID interface box to use that one. I'm not sure about INS but I have it too. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/smile.gif) J.P.

INS is used for inserting digits when the switch is located behind a PBX or centrex trunks.Basically it allows access codes for outside dialtone to be inserted in front of telephone numbers without getting the LCR feature.
