No way! Take my advise IMHO it for a system that small programming through the phone is MUCH quicker. I would suggest before you do ANY auto attendant on an ESI you make yourself an ID map to visualise it. After that it's the easiest system in the world.

PS If you really want the esi-access software it's on their site I do believe.

Hey john - do you have a local reseller who installed the system? If so, you may want to contact them about getting ESI Admin, and/or shoot me an email and I'll post a copy of it to our support site for you to download. You can administer most of the system with the ESI Admin.

The reason I raise this option is that, as Coral Tech mentions, the ESI Access is a pretty buggy software package and it can create it's own support issue. If you're not too familiar with how the system works, you could end up having some trouble with the ESI Access.

I am having similar issues. I am the CIO of a company and the existing management is unhappy that they are at their installers mercy to make changes to the system. I need the ESI-Access software as well. ESI just refers me back to the installer we are no longer using. If you have the ability to get it to me, that would save me much headache

ESI-Access is only available to certified and authorized resellers. That is why ESI refers you back to one. You do not need ESI-Access to program the system. Everything can be programmed from the phone. It is actually easier that way. What you do need, though, is the know-how on how to program it. Without a reseller to bail you out if something goes wrong, I would not venture into the programming. Is your system also a IVX 20 Plus, as was the one that this post was originally started for?

Please keep in mind that most of us have put in a considerable amount of effort (not to mention $) to learn how to administer and program systems. The statement "I am the CIO of a company and the existing management is unhappy that they are at their installers mercy to make changes to the system" kind of rubs us the wrong way as these changes are how we feed our families. If there are miscellaneous little things we are happy to help but moves, adds and changes are part of our revenue stream and we need to protect it.

I agree w/ 5 years and upstate. As strict as ESI is with dealers, im sure we can actually lose our dealership if we gave a copy out to customers. I know if you get caught selling on eBay you will for sure find yourself as a non-dealer.

Good thing about being so strict is that it would be harder for the ESI product to be available on the GREY market. Look at whats happened to Nortel and Avaya products (another one of my favorites).
