You can set it to automatically sync with your cell phone , when in range your cell calls will ring your phone. You can set it to share your cell number with other extensions(In & out). While on a call using your cell # on the ESI you can send it back to your cell to continue the call on the go.
You can also have missed cell calls go to either your cell VM or the system VM.

Have they released the IP version of that yet or is it still digital port only?

Got one with the new demo as well - liked it so much just ordered some units for the office.

It is simple to setup and really cool.

No IP yet.

I have one for our office. I especially like using virtual answer for cell calls while I'm on my desk phone. My receptionist can also answer cell calls and put them on hold for me.

The other piece to the bluetooth/ cellular management pie is the ESI Bluetooth connector (out soon if not already) which allows you to use your existing bluetooth headset/ear dongle with both your cell phone and the ESI 28 key phone. Pretty cool for those who like to hang those things from their ear all day!

WHY????? I don't get it, if I am sitting at my desk and my cell phone rings why not just answer it. If I move around my cell is with me. We have it with our new demo, for the price I don't see the value. According to ESI it seems to be more accpeted on the west coast. I would like to see as PhoneSol says "the other end" the use of a blue tooth headset with my desk phone. That would have much more value with my customer base then the Cell Phone Mgmt.

During last years rollout presentation I remember it being said that the technology was available and it was up to the resellers to think of ways to make it valuable, so I did.

An average real estate office has the usual receptionist and one or two others in the office from 9-5. Then ya got several realtors in and out at different times of the day, let's say there are 6 of them. If everyone is in the office at the same time then you need about 6 lines to accommodate their needs, maybe 10 lines if they all think they are so important that they should have a private line. With the housing sales what they are the Realtors arn't as arrogant as usual so for now we'll call it 6 lines.

Now when all them are out of the office ya got 6 lines and 3 people which is overkill. With the cell phone/bluetooth technology properly implemented when the realtors come and go the office lines fluctuate accordingly. Crank the numbers on this and you'll find it to be very cost efficient for the business.
