Hi all. About 18 months ago we upgraded a Adix single tower to add EVMC card. The cpu card was replaced and has version 8.15. The system has had message lamp SLT for years but I havn't been able to make them work with the voice mail. There are seven 8SUBM-1 cards and two 8SUBM-3 cards on the system The 8SUBM-3 has IX-PMMSG on them the others do not. I havn't been on site for a while and I don't remember if the SLT's have 4 wires. Do these cards support 2-wire or 4-wire SLT with lamps and what can I do to make them work. Any help would be appreciated.

Double check all your SLT ports to be sure that:
1) They're configured as MW SLT's in CLass 1 2) The message key (I know, it's an SLT) is enabled in Class 10. 3) Check the jumper setting on the SUBM cards to verify settings for 2 or 4 wires.
Software version 8.1x has affected some of the systems I take care of following an upgrade, especially with the 8SUBM's and M-1's. The M-3's, with the add-on power supply all work well in the two wire configuration, so my guess is there may be an issue with the newer software and the DCDCB's.
I haven't spent alot of time on it, but haven't solved the problem, either. Tech support knows of no issues that would cause this.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.
