Ok very basic question here and needing some guidance.
Customer has calls coming in on a PRI, call is then transferred out to another trunk on a different PRI board. The Iwatsu does not transfer any of the incoming calls caller ID info out with the new call. It sends the info of the phone system like its a new outbound call.
Is this correct or should I say is this all teh Iwatsu can do in this situation or is there a way to make it pass along the inbound calls info to the outbound call it makes?
Here is the setup, we need caller ID passed from the Iwatsu to the Altigen but I think the Iwatsu just won't do it.
Inbound PRI---Iwatsu--Outbound PRI--Adtran 908e--Point to point T1---Adtran 908e-----Inbound PRI--Altigen System

Iwatsu will not pass any inbound caller id in the setup you are describing. Are these systems near each other? You could send the call out of the Iwatsu via a SUBS-4 (analog card that can receive CID info and pass to device) into the Altigen via the analog trunk ports. If the Adtran can handle FXO/FXS you could route it thru that if sites are in different locations. Not the easiest path, but it would work. Other possibility is to see if the carrier will/can do takeback and tranfer or TBCT type transfer. This allows you to send a command to the carrier to re-route a call (kinda like a speed dial code).
