Having trouble with MCI, they cant seen to get a T1 configured to work with the IDS, working fine on the SBC ckt.

I have done this so many times, but now am trying to remember.
Is it
D4 , AMI, SF OR ESF- WINK START

I tried everything on the IDS side to match up the MCI ckt. But not getting anywhere.

I am just wodering if this is the proper settings when ordering a T1 for the IDS.
I thought it had to be ESF, but MCI says they don't offer that, only SF.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Rick

Rick,

The switch is looking for D4, AMI , SF.

If using the Kentrox CSU that comes with the T1 card, you should order D4, AMI, SF.

If you are using a CSU/DSU and breaking out channels for data order B8ZS, ESF. Just settup the CSU side as D$, AMI, SF into the switch and all will work.

Good Luck!!

JJ,

I knew, that you would know the answer.

They are using an Adtran CSU/DSU.

The SBC Ckt works fine, plugging into MCI,
All lines ring open cant dial out.
They say they are config. D4-AMI-SF-WINK
3 digit outpulse.
Tried adjusting line type, T1 type etc.
To try and get a match, no luck.
They want to reschedule for another night, I want to make sure I have the correct info.

Thanks again

Rick

On the Adtran CSU/DSU:
Have Telco come in as B8ZS, ESF.
Set input into phone system as D4, AMI, SF.

I have manual for Adtran TSU120 in PDF format. If trouble configuring you can call Adtran and they will talk you through it.

Good Luck!!

JJ,
Thanks

Will AMI-D4-SF,not work if using an Adtran CSU/DSU?

It may be too late to have them reconfig for testing early next week

You have to change the CSU/DSU to accept D4, AMI, SF. They are set at factory for B8ZS, ESF.

Is this T1 for voice only?

Latter,
JJ
