Executone 540
M32 sets
I have two extensions that appear to be programmed the same. I have two buttons programmed as 300 "Trunk Group" yet when you go off hook with one of them, it instantly gets outside dial tone, while the other gets internal dial tone. The result, is one is unable to go off hook and dial internal numbers.
How do I configure the sets to NOT grab an outside line when going off hook?

The one that gets outside line has a prime line programmed to it. Look in the A screen under timmer section.

Yes remove the prime line to 000 and it won't pick up an outside line.Or if you dial the internal extension ( at least the first digit)before you pick up the handset you will be able to dial internally.
