out of nowher yesterday 9after having the system for 1 year), my boss groups no longer properly access their VMAIL using the vmail button on their S phones.
Example. BG 100 Phone 8100
Prior to mid day yesterday, you press vmail button on 8100 phone and it went to box 100.
Now it goes to box 8100
boxani.ini file appears to be correct as my P6 mapping is working ok, non boss groups are fine.
Nothing was changed in the system ( I am only one who can) and I haven't touched it. Any ideas where to look?
I even restored the boxani.ini from a previous backup (and that file has not been changed in 1 year according to the file properties).

Have you tried re-booting the voicemail? Is it only boss groups? Also check if you are using ALT ID for ISDN.

Yes, turned out to be corrupted mailbox files. Basically, boxes that did not exist causing the problem.
No one seems to know why they suddenly apeared.

I have installed a few of the UCMC's in the recent past. I can honestly say we have had some quirky things happen. delayed message lamps for one, users not able to access their mailboxes with the current passcode. System just shutting down with no indication in the event logs.
