I have a customer with 680 digital stations and 40 analog stations, 4 PRI's, and a centralized voice mail system. It's an old SIEMENS/ROLM system with a huge maintenance contract on it. Q: Since the MBX is the only system that I am certified on of that size, do I dare network 300's together to make one big PBX? Has anybody attempted this?
Thanks much! Brian

First off, the MBX does not have central voice mail capability without using a third party analog voice mail system. If you were to find an analog pathfinder it would need over 32 ports (sixty four would be best) so I think the central voice mail idea is not going to work. Each system will need its own voice mail card. MBX 300s will work but they network thru voip and I expect that your Rolm systems are using PRI as the network transport. It would be a large amount of work...and it won't be easy.
