I am installing a new MBX system. We also have the ezPhone loaded on several computers on the site. I am having problems trying to get the Dialing plan to throw in a '9' predial when I click a number from my address book.
I go into control panel>phones and modems>dialing plans. I have set '9' to access a line for both local and long distance. When I go to my ezPhone and double click on the 11 digit phone number to dial, it doesn't add the 9 predial. Customer is using ezPhone software and not Outlook to dial.
Has anyone else come up with this issue and/or workaround? Tech support is a bit slow with a resolution. A case file has been created for them to dig into it. Their first response was put a 9 in every entry of the address book.

How about if you remove the 1 before the number. You say 11 digit dialing. How about 10 digit. Just a thought

It doesn't make a difference with 11 or 10 digit numbers. It never puts the '9' predial in. There is another section of the ezPhone program that can strip digits ie '1' from the beginning of the number so I can get it to a 10 digit dial. I am using default 3 digit extension numbers so if I change something on outdial, it may affect the 3 digit dialing.
If I pull out the 1, what were you thinking about getting it to dial?

Have you tried to adjust LCR? Just wondering, I'm not familiar with the MBX, so just guessing.

Toni in tech support was going to 'write it up' for further testing. Her machine had another dealers database in it for testing and she couldn't assist me with my issue at that moment.
We just can't get the predial 9 parameter to work in Phone and modems. We believe it's Vertical's software because we are across a few different Microsoft operating systems exhibiting the same problem.
Right now it's looking like we have to load up all the numbers with a 9 in each entry of the phone database. And by doing this, it kills the database name reference pop up when s known number calls in.
More to follow if when Vertical follows up with testing
