I have a CIX40 in St. Louis. I'm in Chicago. We used to be able to access the CIX40 in the past, but now I'm getting a Connection failed! CIX 40:ERROR_COULD_NOT_CONNECT_TO_CALL_AGENT in emanager. I can ping the address and packet sniffing is not showing any dropped packets. Oh, did I mention it also has a battery backup? So I cant just have the guys down there pull the power to reboot. I also do not have a set of technical hands in st louis either. Do I have any options to reboot? Anyone have any other suggestions? Also, I've read this could be a ongoing problem with the CIX40. Anyone have any info on that issue also?

I would have someone splice in one of those $4 switches that are normally used for cutting out one side of an AC line (completely enclosed switch) and the people on site could snap off the battery back up, the LED would go out for confirmation.

I would be carefull about interuptin the power by pulling the plug. I have seen systems gget wiped out and either defualt, or pull programming from last backup on the media card, even if the internal battery was good.

Can you try to connect via the modem? If so, you can do a soft reset using eManager.
