We have a ESI-50L. We need to setup 3 conference rooms, smallest will be for 6 people. The existing 48-Key Digital is just not cutting it. Can we just purchase any analog/PSTN/POTS conference room phone and plug it into the ESI 48 key phone as a headset?

No. You'll have to convert the jack from a digital station to analog station. Luckily for you, all station cards on the 50 have 2 analog ports.

I just discovered the Konftel 60W. Just purchased one to see if it will work in the headset jack on the 48 phone or using the switch that comes with it, and plug it into the handset. If it breaks anything I'll let you know. Should know in 2 days.

be careful plugging analog devices into digital ports .... and vice versa

in a worst case scenario you can short out ports

Well, the good news is the Konftel 60W is Bluetooth compatible with the ESI 48 button phone. The bad news is Konftel does not list ESI as a supported system. That might just mean the conferencing device can only be used as a Bluetooth device and not a directly connected device.

Any of the Konftel models work just fine on a standalone POTS line like the fax line.

Or, as 94astro suggested, configure one of the analog ports on the 50L and set it up that way.

I really like the Konftel 300W model. Excellent sound quality, and it is a wireless model, so you can use it in multiple locations within the customer's office.
