Hello all, I have yet to figure out on the OS7000 platforms how to get the hold recall to act like(similar) to that which could be done on the Comdial DX-80. Would like for recall to the extension that placed the call on hold to get a brief chirp every 90 seconds or so, with no recall from there to an attendant group. Thanks for the input, Gary

MMC501 SYS Hold recall would be for all phones, don't think you can set anything else but not positive.

By default it won't recall to the operator/attendant group.
However they won't get the chirp that you are after, the phone will ring with a different ring and show recall from <trunk number> on the screen.
1 thing to be aware of (I wish I could stop this) is that a recall is treated the same as a incomming call in that it follows the no answer forward destination of the station.
Eg user puts call on hold, hold recall timer expires, call rings back to extension, user has no ans fwd to vm, after the no ans fwd time expires the caller will end up in the vm for that station.

nameless, have you tried setting the ATT. RECALL TIME shorter than the forward n/a timer. It should then recall to the operator after that timer expires rather than the stations vm or set it to recall to the operator directly rather than recalling the station.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't want the extension to continue to ring back.... Just one or half a ring until the hold recall timer goes through another cycle. Can we adjust the length of the ringing cycle of the recall, with out it being fed elsewhere? Gary

Bobby - I don't want it to ring to the operator, on the idcs500 R1 for example a recalling call would just recall indefinitely on the extension. But on the OS7000 it doesn't.

Btil - what you are after is how the samsung handles off-hook ring, but not recall. You might be able to change the ring cadence for recall but not the ammount or duration of the ring

Thanks nameless, It is sad that for all the technology they push forward they cannot address the simple items that mom and pop business need, like a hold recall timer longer than 250sec, or if hot line is used for a group with zero delay and a DSS button is pushed the unused trunk goes on hold???? Thanks again, Gary

You can set the hold recall timer to 0 and have the call never recall, never had a need to set the recall timer higher then 250.
I have never heard of that hotline issue you have, it sounds like a bug in the software. Can you elaborate more so i can test it and get it logged if it is a bug.

nameless, All our old Comdial customers used "prime line group" or "idle line group" (Samsung offers "Hotline"). When the customer lifted the handset, a trunk was drawn. Should that customer push a DSS key prior to dialing on the key pad, the trunk will drop. On the Samsung, the trunk is put on hold, assuming a transfer will follow. Thanks for following up. Gary
