We have a customer using a CICS and we just went out to add a new extension. There was already a mailbox set up for it, but it is an announce-only box. Tried to go into F983 using the standard passwords and the option to change the mailbox type isn't available. Is there something that we're missing?

Not sure if you can change the mailbox type after creating it. I believe you have to delete it, then create it again with the options you want.

You cannot change the mailbox type once created, you have to delete and re-create it.

Sounds like your voicemail is a CallPilot and your out of subscriber mailboxes. If you go to add a mailbox and your only option is a info mailbox, your out of subscriber mailboxes. Hook up the CP to a laptop to confirm.

That was it. We went in and deleted mailboxes for conference room, copy room, kitchen and courtesy phones and it permitted us to add a regular mailbox for our new extension.

Learned something new today. Thanks to everyone for the ideas and assistance.
