Hi All,
With the new Device Manager 4.60f, I'm not able to access the file control (For MP10a 4.60b and MP20S 4.60b to 4.63) I have a box with transmit, but after a couple of minutes it's time out. After a power cycle it will connect, but I don't see the file in the card and when I try to upload a file I have a time out... Are you able to update? For now I put the file directly from my computer on the media card.
Thanks Philippe Montreal, Quebec

Howdy, tripod.
I've experienced this exact same issue at the exact same DM release.
And here's the REALLY funny part; I got on the phone with Samsung Tech Support on this the other day, and his advice was to roll my DM version back to 4.60. The only problem with that V4.60f won't seem to leave my freakin' computer.
OSDM doesn't show up in the uninstall program list, so I can't uninstall it.
I've done file searches through my whole HD trying to erase all traces of the program. (And deleted the folder on my C drive where it stashes it's Site Listing).
I've redownloaded "different" versions of the DM file from the GSBN like three times at this point. I'm starting to get the feeling I'm getting the same file no matter what the page states about the DM Version it's linking to (my unzip program shows that each of them have been identical down to the byte size).
And every single time, when I open up the DM again, it's "ABOUT" screen shows V4.60f.
Thoughts, anyone?

I called them too and they said they'd get back to me tomorrow... last Tuesday. To upgrade, I'm having to use IT Tools and using the file control portion only, then going back to DM. ![[Linked Image from blob.freent.de]](https://blob.freent.de/contentblob/2674262/teaserImg847x565/dummkopf853271-fb2e9a3f477531e8.jpg)

In the old phrase, no one ever promised you a rose garden, well no one ever promised you Samsung wouldn't wouldn't put out bad software. Samsung contracts software writing out and sometimes what you get from Korea is what you get.
You could always have a 2nd old cheap laptop to try stuff on and a backup in the cloud to revert to if the stuff is bad, you can't count on Samsung being perfect.

Its your Java version. You need to be running Java V6, V7 has this issue. I've just had this issue on a OS7030 and this is what fixed it for me.

Good call, the rollback fix the file control access, possibly it will fix the problem where you're unable to update for SMVi 20i. Thanks
