5000 utilizing Base and Processing Servers. Running version 5.1 software. licensed for 24 voice channels. This is the third time it has occurred. Only 8 of the 24 voice channels are used. All additional callers hear silence. Rebooting the server fixes the issue. Though it is hardly a solution. We've been told by our Mitel technician to place a cheap pocket switch to connect the two servers to the network. Since both servers are connected to the same module in a very expensive HP Procurve switch, we hardly feel this to be a viable or logical solution.

Are all 24 ports enabled under Voicemail/Timers and Limits/Voicechannels?

This turned out to be a software version conflict between the base and processing servers. Mitel provided an update which fixed the issue.
