Hey guys.
Just wondering if it's feasable.
I have 2 satellite locations (A and B) that their phone calls are answered in a main location (C). All locations have CIX100.
Receptionist from (C) tells me that when she transfers a call to (A or B) and it's not picked up by the sales guy, it just drops the call instead of either going to voicemail or ringing back at (C).
The satellite locations both have 4 trunk lines, forwarded by schedule in the Day/Night service to (C) using internal CF (Ext 400 as opposed to outside line, which I was told was not possible to begin with).
I just need to verify if it's possible to get the VM to answer the call instead of it dropping, to begin with, OR have the phone call go back to reception at (C).
Thanks,
O.

It should be able to forward to voicemail. FInding the problem to this may be difficult since there are a lot of things I can't see, such as do each site have it's own voicemial? Can you call an extension directly and have it go to VM? DO you have enough Stratanet channels? Can you originate from site C, then transfer to site A or B and the call goes to voicemail?

Thanks for the reply David.
We have only one VM server for the 3 sites, located in (C). Right now, if I call an extension in (A) or (B) and no one picks up, it does go to VM.
As for the StrataNet channels, not 100% of what you mean. If you're talking about the cards installed in the CIX100, here's a list of it.
(A) 01 01 ADKU BDKU or BWDKU - 8 DKTs without Spkr OCA 01 02 RDSU/RSTS - 4 standard/4 digital telephone ports without Spkr OCA 01 03 BCOCIU - 4 analog loop start lines with built-in Caller ID interface 01 04 LIPU-X - 16 IP Station (B) 01 01 BDKU/BDKS or BWDKU - 16 DKTs without Spkr OCA; or iES32 01 02 MIPU16 - 16 IP Station 01 03 BCOCIU/BCOCIS - 8 analog loop start lines with built-in Caller ID interface 01 09 ASTU - 2 standard telephone ports
(C) 01 01 BDKU/BDKS or BWDKU - 16 DKTs without Spkr OCA; or iES32 01 02 BDKU/BDKS or BWDKU - 16 DKTs without Spkr OCA; or iES32 01 03 RPTU or BPTU - 24 channel PRI 01 04 BDKU/BDKS or BWDKU - 16 DKTs without Spkr OCA; or iES32 01 05 BIPU-Q - 16 channel 01 06 RSTU BSTU or IVP8 - 8 standard telephone ports 01 07 RCOU/RCOS - 8 analog loop start lines 01 08 ADKU BDKU or BWDKU - 8 DKTs without Spkr OCA
I can have someone call from (C) and see if they get VM on (A) or (B). However I think the issue comes from Outside calls being transfered.
Thanks.

This issue is still going, and am still waiting on a viable solution.
Thanks.

Its not a great idea to mix up the MIPU/LIPU and BIPU in the same network. Are all xIPU cards running the latest firmwares? What software versions are you running on all sites? Have you set in program 150 system IP data FB17 to enable to make sites A and B Stratanet compatible with site C running the BIPU card?

I take it this is no longer an issue or you have found a "viable solution" ??
