I'm in the process of setting up UM on our Axxess 5.2F2, for which we are licensed for UM level 3. I have outbound faxing working (thanks BaKaatz) and have voicemail showing up in my email box. I am now trying to figure out how to set up inbound faxing. What I want is for our DIDs to be dual purpose, so that someone could place a voice call to the users, or using the same DID send a fax and have it land in the user's email. I know I need to route a user's DID to a call routing announcement, and have set one up to test on my own DID. I have the fax delivery email address set, and have a 10sec delay in day and night greetings, but when I route my DID to that CRA, a voicecall does not come through, and a fax to my DID is sent, but to where I don't know. It's not in my email box, and its not in the vismail email box. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I'm following the Axxessory talk 2.1 Installation Instructions 835.2296-1. I have set up a vismail domain and email account (exchange server), and I have given the vismail user all of the rights listed in the instructions. I'm successfully recieving inbound voicemail as email, so the email gateway is working, and I can fax outbound through the Axxessory Talk client, so the fax card is working, but I am still stuck trying to get inbound faxing to work. I don't have much info on the CRA that I think must be in place for the inbound fax to get routed to my email. How does the system know to detect a fax on my DID and reroute it to my email box?
TIA, BREWEWA

Well, I've got inbound fax working now. I changed the CRA's Fax Delivery E-mail Address to [email protected]. Before, I had put it in the form of LastName, FirstName because that is the form that the 'E-mail Address for Voice Messages' is using to forward my vmail to my email. I am left with these questions... 1. Why the difference in the form of the Fax Delivery Email Address and the Email Address for Voice Messages. 2. I need to set up 50 users for UM voice and fax. I guess I need to set up 50 CRAs? There should be an easier way to do this.

I spoke too soon. I can receive inbound faxes, but now voicecalls won't come through. I'll have to stop routing my extension to my Call Routing Announcement that does the fax detection until I can find the !@#$ problem. Help!!!!!

I then set the CRA 2508 as the Ring-In Destination for my extension in the Call Routing Tables.
When I do this I will receive faxes, but not voice calls.
