Yesh this ugly guys. Things that will corrupt a CCS databse include wind direction change and so on. It's written in Microsoft Jet 4.0 which is kinda crappy IMO. There should b e two backups:
A monthly backup of the archived file fro previous month, then a daily (or nightly) backup of the HADAY, HCDAY,HAMON and MCMON files. If you corrupt one, you've lost the whole month. Don't ask me how I know. There is no automated backup procedure that is safe. You have to shut down CCS, backup, run repair, backup again. It's tedious but it's the safest way.
