I'm changing backplanes on a two cabinet Magix system. The two existing cabinets both have 491E1 power supplies. The two cabinets I have to swap them out have 491D power supplies.

Is the only difference between the two power supplies that the 491D has ring generators (from what info I can find)?
Are the backplanes the same?

I posted in the past about this system that has phones locking up and the user is power cycling the system every time to get the phones working again. We have found no trouble causing this and have changed every card with no help. The next swap is the backplanes. (I asked about this issue under my old name DT98 but I lost the pw and created this new user DWT98...I'm getting too old...)
