NEC-J appear to have discovered a bug in R8 software that can cause a ransom reboot if DHCP is enabled in PRG 10.13.01. Sometimes when the DHCP lease time expires the system will reboot. We have one here doing this and received new beta software yesterday to try on the site. It may take a week or two to see if it fixes the problem.

I reviewed the programming and 10.13.01 is not checked, but 10.13.03 is checked. would that make a difference?

If 10.13.01 is not checked then that shouldn't be the cause of the problem..

Is there a chance that the automatic system reboot was set a year ago and it just came back around?

I checked that one and it was set for the previous boot I had done. I assume it would have changed if it was set differently.

Sounds like the system rebooted once, if that's the case I'd worry about if it does it again.
