I just upgraded an NEC Elite 192 with vms-u10 voice mail to IPK II with inmail. They have 2 trunk groups. The fisst is Verizon POTS lines. They work fine through the inmail auto attendant. The second group is a telepacific T1/PRI that comes through an Adtran which gives us analog lines. These will not break dial tone when in the inmail auto attendant. They would when it was via the old VMS-u10 voice mail. I swaped the lines with the good group and the problem moved. Telepacific tested the lines and boosted the DB levels a bit and still no luck. Has anyone had a problem with the inmail dtmf sensitivity?

I think there was a specific release of 1.61 for this issue (1.61p).

What version software is the IPKII?

1.61p addressed issues with specific carriers (mostly cell phone carriers) not having DTMF recognized by the InMail.

Just a follow up. The problem has been solved. It was a low volume level. The first Telepacific tech tried upping the levels but that did not work because he was used to the Cisco Interface box whose transmit was our recieve and we were on an Adtran where the transmit was our transmit and he was changing the wrong side. It was only off by 2 db which changed it from failing everytime to working everytime. By the way it was rev 1.60. I built another system for test on 1.61 and it had the same failure. The 1.60 fix was for short tones from cell phones.
