I ended up with a roll of RG6 quad shielded coax. Does the quad shielding require different F connectors? The compression connectors I used before don't slide onto the coax all the way. The coax seems slightly bigger in diameter.

Thanks.
Jim

Try the Snap-N-Seal SNS1P6U, red sleeve. They are designed to work on dual, tri, and quad-shielded RG6.

Thanks Jeff. I need to get a new tool to use the new connectors. My old tool, [Linked Image from i1013.photobucket.com], needs to retire if I'm going to use quad. I'm going to order a new tool and some EX6 connectors, as Hal and others suggested in another thread.

OK, well the offer still stands.
I use the Ripley CT2-AS which will on many brands of F connector, RG59 through RG11.
