Hello, I have the following phone:
Toshiba IP Enterprise Telephone Model IPT2020-SD
I want to use the phone in a warehouse area that only has network connectivity via wifi. However, when I connected this phone to a computer connected to the LAN via wifi, I was not able to receive a dial tone.
My questions are;
Can this phone work via wifi? What ports do I need to have open? How do I configure this to function?
Please advise.

I tried that some years ago using my laptop as a gaetway. The results were not good. I had dialtone, but call quality was not anything that could be considered usable.
If there is any possibilty for it to work, you would probabaly need a very good quality WIFI bridge.

Yea could work easy but dirty. Is the wifi subnet the same as the phone system? If so then you should be able to bridge and go. If not then you should just need to bridge the connection and find your hops or router to use for the phone. Pretty much map out the connection and test the wifi bridge with a device other than the phone to ensure it works.

Or buy a sip license and use something like Media5 on an iPhone or Android. If the Wifi coverage is strong it will work well.

what about using a ethernet over power adapter?
I have some IPT's working across an office without any internal wiring except for the power and then into another PoE switch to connect up 12 IPT handsets, works like a charm. Just need the adapters on the same mains ring main circuit.
