i went to a site i din't program this system at first i wanted to add an appearance the the reception all buttons were locked,then looked further and saw user rights template i added the call apearance there and then to my set,my question is what is the use for this user template is it just for instead of programing other stations 1 by 1,??

User template is when several sets will be programmed the same. Yes instead of 1 by 1

my sc*17 action is "u" i doesn't do anything
I have *98 goes to my Day AA
what action should i reprogram *17 to go to mboxes??

Should have a "?" in before the "U". I tend to use the "*" action, as most Avaya systems use a version of *7 or *17...
