I have a TOS ver. 2.0 that my customer is having issues with. When they have a call on hold, and another call comes in and they put that call on hold as well, they immediately get put back on the first call.
Then of course if they put that call on hold, they get connected to the second call automatically. Anybody know what kinda voodoo this is?

I tried it on a defaulted demo switch at our shop and got the same result.
There has to be a way to put two calls on hold at the same time, but I've seen nothing in programming that would affect this.

The phone I'm using is an IP2032

Thanks

It sounds like you don't have enough audio paths for the third call to arrive at a keyset. We haven't monkeyed with the TOS 3000, so this is only a guess. Can you add another ICM appearance to the phone?

Well....not easily with the basic IP2032 phone. It has no programmable buttons. But I wonder if I could program a "phantom" button. I'll try that and update in a few.

The IP2032 phone only has appearance of two trunks and no programmable buttons. But I just added a IP2061 phone to my test system and it has appearance of 4 trunks, AND I can put two calls on hold simultaneously.

So...it's definitely a phone issue, but surely there's a work around. Anybody got any ideas?

I talked to Icon. No fix for this. The only "fix" would be to have phones with more line appearances than you have lines.
