I recently upgraded a system from v. 2.0 to 9.5. The soft keys on the IP phones that are set to DSS/One Touch are not working. On an ITL 8LD-1, the screen displays the one-touch settings as before, showing extensions, and if I press then the soft key button, it displays the correct extension or setting. WebPro shows the correct setting on the keys in 15-07. Normally pressing the DSS key will call that extension. The other soft keys which are programmed for night mode, virtuals, CAP, and ICM work fine. It is only with the DSS/One Touch keys, and this issue is with all IP phones. We plan to reset the system after business hours to see if this affects it. Does anyone have knowledge of this issue?

Try resetting the Button to none, saving exiting than reprogramming them.
I know that on A DSS it was an issue

Thanks for the reply. I tried this. Same result. I tried resetting the phone by unplugging the ethernet cord, and plugging it back in. BTW there are 89 phones at this site. I opened an incident with NTAC.

I meant to indicate that this is a system-wide issue. All phones that have DSS/One Touch keys programmed to dial extensions do not work. External dialing works, all other functions work, just not internal dialing. Pushing the button does nothing.
Another issue is all phones are displaying their call forward settings. That is, all displays are showing "FWD B/NA >> voice mail". If I remove call forward settings on an extension, the display shows the extension and name, as it should. If I re-enter the forward settings to the VM pilot, it shows on the screen again. There must be a global display setting. I am posting this as an addition to the other issue because both came up after the upgrade from 2.0 to 9.5.

The call fwd issue is in the new tech notes on the web site. Program 20-11-30 then do all call to clear displays

I seem to remember this DSS problem down here last year. I think (and I'm going real deep into my mind here) the fix was to default and hardware reload the switch.
Regards,
Paul W Now back to a 0 day week. Love these 7 day weekends.

The "FWD B/NA >> voice mail" in the display went away when I downgraded it to 9.0. Sorry, I didn't see SK's answer until after this was done. One issue down.
For the DSS/One Touch issue, NTAC recommended I check 20-13-41. If the DSS key is set to indicate that there is a voice mail, then it takes precedence over the station calling function. This was disabled (20-13-41). Phone was restarted. Same result.
One factor that may or may not have affected it was we had a voice mail issue resulting in changing out the blade with a new CF card. Voice mail was restored. That's why to the latest software was recommended, because the latest CF was being installed.
This is affecting all the phones, but we are testing with the reception phone because this has the most DSS keys programmed. There is no DSS console, only programmed buttons on the various screens.
PaulW, are you saying the system has to be defaulted and the blades re-installed? That sounds major to fix this problem, and I only wish to go there if there is no alternative, and we know it will work for certain.

There is a bug with call appearance keys with 9.0. Also a security issue. A local bank found that during a third party security scan. Your IP phones may need to be flash updated. Going from 2.x to 9.x is a big change.
