Hi all!

I am the new office manager at my church.

I have not had to deal with a phone system like this before and have just learned that trunk is industry lingo for an outside line...

having said that... can anyone direct me on what to do to clear up some lights on these phones?

We have the IX-12KTD-2 phones... 2 of them... one put in a seldom used office (the one with the night button on it)

and the one without the night button is the one I use.

we have regular phones located in other areas of the church.

The console I use has the big green indicator light flashing, even after I listen to messages.

We went in and tried to locate messages on other lines that might be causing it and were unable to. Not sure if there is a system to doing this and honestly I don't even know what all the extensions on the system are...

as you can imagine... various people who are not professionals with phone systems using these over the years...

1. Is there an easy quick way to figure out what all the extensions are, so I can document them and figure out mailbox issues with each one?

2. aside from old vm messages, what else could be causing the big green blinking light?

i have some other questions that I am posting in separate posts.

many many thanks... google searches turned up nothing that has worked and I don't know enough about phone systems to have a knowledge base to draw from for trouble shooting.

From your phone (IX12KTD) dial the FEAT Key and 99, and that will tell you your phones extension.

Then a second person can walk to each analog phone and call you at your phone, and the Extension number should be in the display.

The light above the display is programmable, and typically is a Message Indicator, meaning that there is voice mail message at that station.

Thanks James!

When I get someone in here with me I will send them around to the phones and we will make that list!

I was hoping the phone console would just be able to show me a list someone, but manually walking around is fine too!

thanks again
