Has anyone ever had an issue with the SMTi3105 not able to communicate with a DHCP server?
I have a customer that has some remote SMT i3105s that all of a sudden started showing "Connecting DHCP". We connect a laptop to the PC port on the phone, and not even the laptop can get an IP address. We connect the laptop to the LAN connection the phone uses and "Voila" we get an IP address. We statically assign an IP address to the phone and it is still unable to communicate with the network. Unable to ping the IP address we assigned it from a local pc..nothing. We take the phone and connect it directly to the switch...nothing. We connect it directly to the router...it gets an IP address.
I've checked the router to make sure DHCP has an adequate range. It's set for 250 IP addresses and only 30 are being used.
