The State of Ohio has a new law in 2015 which states that nursing/rest/long-term-care homes can only use overhead paging in an emergency situation. I have not read the actual ordinance; however I have had three customers call me since Jan.1, to reprogram phone/paging system, due to this.
One of my customers, with an STS installed, wants to now install 6 wall phones, over which hands-free pages can be made. We are aware of how to do this with 3515-71 digital phones.
Essentially, they want the new wall phones to act as paging speakers.
My question is: Can we install [6] ANALOG single-line phones, with speaker, and page over them individually &/or as a group? We are aware of how to create page groups & install SLIB, just not sure if analog phone supports a hands-free page.
Thanking you in advance for your help!

I assume you are talking about using some kind of phone like a 2801. Can't page to them. There is nothing that will activate the speaker until the ringing phone is answered. You will either need digital sets or better yet use door boxes. Each one takes one digital port. You can page door boxes as a group. They serve as an emergency call button as well. I have a lot of them in medical facilities.

Thanks Derrick, that's what I was afraid of, needed confirmation.
The door box you mention is 3560-08 right?
