I have an Inter-Tel axxess 3 cabinet phone system and have one user out of 130 who experiences a 5 to 10 second delay between picking up the phone and then being able to hear the caller. This happens on internal and external calls. I've changed the digital keyset, changed headsets (I have 30 other users using the same style of headsets), changed batteries in the headset, changed TN's, reterminated the station cabling and the cross connects in the phone closet. My system has two PRI t1's and one OPC card programmed with 24 conference and 8 DTMF receivers. Anyone have any ideas on what to try next?

Look in the error logs and see if it mentions that extensions' circuit. Could always try the default station feature code as well. Just to start anyway.

Does it happen when the user is not using a headset?
Have you tried moving the user to another port on the system?

Paul Dutka, City42 and Drew_Ryan have provided excellent ideas. The only thing I could add would be to double check the station programming. Check to see if this station has anything programmed under House Phone.
