I have a customer with a Vodavi Mach I with a talkpath voicemail. The voicemail is saying "system disk is full, please contact your administrator" after the mailbox greeting plays and will not allow a message to be left in any mailbox. I have never come across this type of message. I checked all mailboxes on the Talkpath and have not found any with any large amount of messages in it. Has anyone come across anything like this before?

Have you tried simply rebooting the talkpath?

The system is full of error log files and must be purged using the ECOM program to access the disk directly in DOS. Delete all files with the extension '.LOG' and it will be back to normal.

Thank you Ed. I have never used an ECOM program to get into the Talkpath Voicemail. Do you have an instructions? I have a Talkpath programming manual. I will look in that but if you have some instructions, I would love that. Thanks for information. Yes Derrick, this voicemail has been running a very long time.

Also run chkdsk /f and delete all the *.chk files if there are any.

I have the voicemail here in my office. I am hooked up to it with ecom and I have the C prompt. Unfortunately, I do not know the command to get into the error logs so that I can delete them. I have a Talkpath programming manual but it is less than forthcoming with that information. Any help? I truly do not know much about DOS so any help would be greatly appreciated

Simple DOS commands.

I forgot which directory the log files are in but do this:

cd\

dir /s *.log

This will show you the directory they are in.

cd\directory name

del *.log

Next:

cd\

chkdsk /f

del *.chk

(only if there are *.chk files there)

Sure makes me feel old when people don't know DOS.
