Dear Inter-Tel,

If you are listing - please find my "Christmas List" below. I've been a good boy this year.

1) Ability to have a hunt group ring untill either (I want both) the announcement or overflow (1st time) plays, and the Music on Hold after that.

2) Abiltiy for a CRA to transfer to an off-node voicemail box

3) Speed-up the Session-manager when connected. Things take for ever unless you are working off line

4) Fix button assignemnts so that the key-map type stays the same after Session Manager closes.

5) Abiltiy to have multiple extensions as 1 extension without creating a hunt group.

As you can see, I don't want much. I've been especially good this year. If this is covered in the new 3300 - just send one of those instead.

First off- you would be very disapointed in the 3300. Let's look at yer list:

1. All newer versions offer this as the default setting and have for years.
2. If by 'off-node' you mean mailboxes for users in all nodes in an Inter-Tel PBX network, see answer above.
3. This is really a matter of perspective. The NEC Matworx/MA4000 product? Sloooow. Mitel 3300? Slooooow. Nortel BCM HTML/Java interface? SLOOOOW. Inter-Tel's solution probably isn't the best, but it's damn near the best, overall.
4. Well, I guess that would be alright, but keep in mind that the view type is meant only to make the programmer comfortable, not to designate the types of fones using that keymap. I will say that making the default view the '8600' model is just plain dumb. I think Inter-Tel has sold about 10 of those.
5.Well, Secondary Extension keys cover that pretty well, but I guess maybe having a 'Coverage' feature would be cool.

Now here's my list:

1. IP fone 'Hot Desking'. Everyone else has this feature. How hard can it be?
2. ACD hunt group upgrades. Why is the Wrap-Up Terminate only 'Terminate'? Why not Wrap-Up Toggle? On/Off? How about a 'no one is logged in' (Unavailable) destination? I have more, but c'mon!
3. Why is it taking so long to support mp3, .wav, whatever digital audio importing? Why can I not import/copy/paste voicemail Audiotext greetings? There is no way this is so hard to engineer. It's getting embarassing.
4. Horrible voicemail reporting/OAI integration. Just can't be this hard to figure out!
5. Speaking of voicemail, the basic product is very easy to use, but how come no 'mailbox message copy' or a list of stations to light message lights? Why no 0-9 digit translation?

I got lots more, but these kinds of things would be fairly easy, I think.

They discontinued the 8600 phone.
