Hi all,

I am uncertain on how to edit the current outside directory on my phone system. I have a Inter-tel Axxess version 6.0. Can someone show me how this is done?

Any help will do?

Thanks.

What type of directory and how do the callers get there? Is it just a simple recording that lists your employees, or is it a dial by name directory?

Hi RCA,

This is a dial by name directory. This is how I get to the directory.

I'm using a inter-tel Eclipse professional phone model 560.4301. On my screen, I have the option to choose Admin Features, Outgoing, Directory, DND, and other features. Then, I choose Directory on my screen. Next, the screen will give me the option to choose IC Directory, Outside Directory, and Feature Directory. I choose Outside Directory and this is where I see a list of names with outside phone numbers that I can choose to call. How can I add/delete the entry in the directory?

thanks.

Sounds like your using System Speed Dialing. Do you have an Administrator guide?

I hope the email address is correct in your profile, I am sending you something helpful.

I read the guide and use special code 9801, 382, and 383. All these codes only allow me to add and update new entry to bin. How can I edit the current directory entry?

Thanks.

If you follow RCA's directions, and edit one, it should allow you to change and update it there. I know it will with the Axxess, and I am sure it will with the Eclipse.

HI DnRComm,

I did follow the instruction provided by RCA and use the administrator manual. When enter spcl 9801; it allows me to add/update/change information. But, there is no information on the current directory. I know the current directory exist with list of names and numbers because I can see it when I choose to browse outside directory. How can I edit this global directory?

Thanks.
