I gave this company a call a few weeks ago....about a week later a sales rep called and emailed info to me.......never heard from him again.......

Kind of makes you wonder how businesses make it these dayz with such inept reps.......

Stop looken, there aren't any...any worth doing business with. In the phone business and because of the nature of the beast, customers need to find you and not you find them. Having your name in front of the customers when they go looking for phones/systems is what you should be concentrating on. [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]

I heard someone refer to them as Bend-Over Leads. We found out that they were basically selling the same list we bought to other interconnects in our area. The list was virtually worthless by the time we got it. There is no easy way to get new business. I'd just stick to building networks, pounding the pavement and knocking on doors.

I use direct mail in my business to pick up existing customers who are not happy with their present vendors. While it is mostly a crapshoot, if you are lucky you could pick up a few good ones.

I mostly buy lists of all manufacturing companies in heavly concentrated industrial areas. And it also goes by the season, around this time of the year I will focus on construction companies, trucking companies, etc...

I put an ad in the paper for sales reps, and I shouls publish the resumes that were sent to me, I had some asking if they were provided with company cars and some would ask if full covered health benefits applied....

What the hell is happening to the work force in this country, people apply for a job and then want it tailored to their specifications....

Sales leads from people who will get you in the door most cases dosent work in our business. Bizzare as it sounds, I give you one small sales tip lead. Although, there are many ways to go about cold calling, one is to never forget the name of the maintenance manager of a large building who has floors of tennants. Leave him your business card with a 20.00 stapled to the back of your buiness card. I bet he wont forget your name. That twenty is a lot less than some sales lead company fee.

The ones that WILL suck you in "bendover" call you with something like " Hi we are a t1/dsl seller and are looking for an installer in your area" just" for them just blow the air horn and hang up LOL
