I need a little help on how to swap out 2 4x8 cards and install a 16 psub I need a spare slot for MBU card.
I was told to remove 4x8 cards and reboot and then install the new 16 port card.
do I have to remove the cards from program first.

Remove the 408s in programming then reboot the ECS. Make sure it's all the way back up and verify in programming that the 408s are no longer installed. Set the make busy switch on the 16PSUB, slide it in the slot and let the switch find it and configure it then program the ports as needed. This is more an exercise in patience than anything else...

Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.
