We have a customer with a OS7200S. We installed this system about 5 years ago. We configured one mailbox (EXT14 - MBX 14). This was enough.
Now the customer needs more mailboxes and he wants to record calls with the integrated voicemail. So I tried today to configure this today. First I programmed a button CR on the phone, which has a mailbox since 5 years. I got the message COS problem. So I looked into the COS groups. All phones are in COS group 1 and I switched VM Reocrding to YES. I tried again and everything worked. Great.
Then I made 3 new mailboxes. I tried with one phone. I changed the password and I programmed a button CR. I called the phone but I couldn't record the call. OK. I made an extention in the voicemail system and tried again, without success. I tried with another new mailbox, also no success.
So I decided to make a reboot of the OS7200S. After this the new created mailboxes and extensions are away. There was only MBX 14 and EXT 14. I create a new mailbox and extension for extension 24 and tried again. No success. I compared the credentials of mailbox 14 with mailbox 24. They are identical.
Why is it not possible to record calls with the new created mailboxes? And does I need for call recording also an extension?
Many thanks and best regards, Peter

Hi Lee, many thanks for your support. Great. I do forget very often this point and create the mailboxes directly in 8.1. In the future I will do it with MMC751.
Many thanks, it worls now perfectly.
