This axxent I am trying to bring back from the dead doesn't have any system dial tone. You pick up the receiver, and the display changes to "enter extention number:" and you can, and it works, but there is just silence when you pick up the phone. If I dial an unplugged extension, it just clicks instead of beeping. It's like it has no beeping or tone abilities, heh. I take that back, when I press DND it beeps like it should. Is there a feature or flag that I am missing?
I tried reseating the flash and dksc cards. I didn't pull the cpu.
Any ideas?

Have you tried a different phone and or plugging the phone into a different port?
I would try turning the system off, reseating all the boards in the cabinet including the mem board, that's the smaller one next to the battery.
If that's a no go, use your programming software and log into the system and do a default, I believe in your other topic you mentioned it was defaulted.

I reseated all of the boards, no change. I pulled all of the boards and reseated all of the socketed ICs on the motherboard/backplane. That did it! Must have been a loose chip. On to the next issue, when I find it Thanks
