How far back can one go on using vista on inter-tel software. starting at 8 or earlier?

I have 5.119 loaded on my Vista machine but nothing old enough to try it to see if it really works, came on the single install about a year ago and loaded fine on Both my XP Pro and Vista machines. I do think you still want to stay away from IE 8 Think it has some issues and know for sure it has trouble with the Mitel SX200 just finished that class and had several issues on the Vista machine with 7 and they say it's worse with 8 even if you are running XP

If you are understand how Windows operating systems work. You can install all of the software going all the way back to Axxess 1.0 and including the Axxent software. You do have to trick and fool the OS's into submission but it can be done.

I have Vista with all the Inter-Tel software on it and no problems.

Little late but was looking for a feature and version and found 9.1 is listed as Inter-Tel saying Vista is supported..... I'm sure tofer is correct but this is what Inter-Tel says

On Vista... Disable the UAC and then on the c drive put a DOS folder (you don't have to have anything in there) Then install the software. It should work.

I run Session Manager (7.001) under Vista by right-click "run as administrator." Works fine. If I fail to do that, it works, but it won't let me capture a backup onto the laptop.

So far I am impresed. Thanks tofer, I did like you said. So far I can put on ver 4.0 for inter-tel software, with no problems.

I can only put on the latest 3000 software. Haven't done much with the 3000. But I would like to get it going if possible. Any suggestions anyone.

I like the compactness of the system and the speed that the system has over the old laptop. I also like the fact that it is window 7 upgradeable with more memory.
