I currently have an old VPU that is starting to die. I have made complete backups using the session manager. I have a few questions....

1. The current programming has the main line pointed to an application. When the VPU is down, calls get redirected to extension 219. I would like to change this to a hunt group. Is this possible and if so where is this set?

2. I just want to make sure I have everything backed up. We will more than likely be moving the installation to a new box. I used the session manager to do a "Database Save". I also ticked the "Save voice data to" option. The command completed successfully and I have verified that there is data in the B:\ drive. Is there anything else I should be aware of before attempting to move the data to a new server?

3. Where can I get the install media to get a new box up and running. I am attempting to locate a "new" box to put it on. Only requirements I know of at this point is to verify that there are 2 ISA slots available.

Thanks in advance. It has been hectic few days with the VPU crashing daily frown

1. Create a forwarding path for x219 that immediately forwards to the HG you want calls to ring to.

2. Save a copy of the avdap/db folder as well. I would also save the summary.txt file just to have a reference of your old setup. (e.g. - ports, UM, etc.)

3. PM me if you need help.

When the voice mail goes down, calls are directed to the Primary Attendant.

If you actually need to use ext. 219, assign a different station as the Primary Attendant, and then forward it to your hunt group.

Thanks DND ON!

Just set up an extension with no endpoint with a new forwarding path to our call center hunt group. This should assist if the box does go down again.

Stix1... Just found a suitable replacement box. I will hit you up in PM this morning.

Thanks again everyone smile
