i think that i have seen this post somewhere else on the Forum, but for the life of me i cannot find it. i am interested in assigning a description to incomming lines ringing in. these would be beneficial in our site as we have 2 different branches and it would be nice for receptionists to see whose lines they are answering. thanks, Mike

If they have their own trunk group, label the trunk group with the appropriate name. The display will say “ABC Company Ringing Inâ€Â.
If using a DID via a Call Routing Table, you could replace the telephone number in the description field with the company name. Personally, I like to keep the number listed.
You could also route the calls through a Call Routing Application. The application name will be picked up as the call passes through.
