Well openwire
The first question is do you have a good ground to the power supply module? The second question is how old is the cabling?
I have ran into this problem before and had to put in shielded voice cable to cure it.

You might need to get some electromagnetic interference filters if your getting interference from power, radio, ect.

You can also try turning off the florescent lights and see if it disappears to see if it's the wiring crossing the fixtures. That sometimes causes it.

I will try all of these cures. It is in a blasted walmart and they just did a big move,so I suspect the cable is laying on top of a flourescent fixture.

I think you maybe right. They also tend to run power rite by the voice. We did some K-MARTS and had the same problems.
