Are there any tricks to renumbering on a Merlin Magix using the extension range of 800-999? It keeps rejecting the 800 as a starting # after I have save the old numbers to 7100.

I have not worked on a Magic, but on the Legend the 800 numbers are used for the trunks. So you may be trying to renumber a hard coded entity in the switch.
Do a print out of the system. This should help identify the problem area.
good luck,

Renumber everything in the 800 range, which is 800 (the Listed Directory Number), 801-880 (Lines), 881-888 (Park Codes), 889 (Remote Access), and 890-899 (Pools) to their equivelants in the 600 range. Then you will be able to renumber into the 800's.

Sorry, I should not have used the words "hard coded" and said default instead. I knew what I meant, but I could see how it could be misleading.
