That's what I'm gessing but you should have some look at to be sure.

Thank you. I'll do that. Now, the power light should be green, not red, is this correct?

Yes it should be green and it's not one of the 3 on the bottom it is about a 1/4 of the way from down from the top of the module.

I couldn't do anything with the VM. He's going to have to call in reinforcements. The power light is on. So is all three lights at the bottom. It also has an expansion card in it. You guys are probably right. I would say the telephone programming went to default when the power went out. Do any of you have a recomendation as far as a UPS for this small system? He would like for it to continue to have power for about 30 minutes. Also, someone mentioned the the system itself contained some type of battery. Where would it be located. My guess would be inside the main processor card. Also, can you buy replacements?

I've seen several older VS voicemails that seem to like to fry the harddrive when powered down.
Do the job right the first time.

Really? I have one other question. Even with the programming loss on the phone system, shouldn't the voice mail (if it was okay) have come up without all of the lights on? That's if it was okay?

Yes it should but it won't interact with the system until you reprogram the switch. You can get the batt from www.mikesandman.com and you can get a drive kit from https://www.nyteldirect.com/Scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=311 [This message has been edited by dtmf (edited July 26, 2005).]
