I was wondering which phones systems had " Caller ID routing"
This is where the system will take the caller ID number on an incoming call and based on a table you setup, Route the call accordingly.
So if your working as a stock broker, you can have a book of clients, your clients can be setup to go directly to you or your assistant instead of just the general voicemail/autoattendant.
If your wife calls in, it can go directly to your office without having to go to the receptionist.
This is also very good for Home phone systems for large houses.
So far, I know the
* Panasonic TAW848 has this feature. * Samsung IDCS 500 does not seem to have this feature:(
I don't know if Panasonic has this great feature on their entire phone or just the TAW848?
I look at the information for the Panasonic TD500 but did not see it. Does anyone know if the TD500 has this feature also? Hopefully, their top of the line business system is not lacking the CID routing feature of their smaller system!

The Inter-Tel Axxess has this feature and works flawlessly. Wildcards are also accepted so like on mine at home, you can disconnect telemarketers on dial-in. Or when your family calls it will simultaneously ring at all locations where you may be, and then forward out to your cell if you're not in the office which makes for a one number to find me type thing.
What city are you in Jim?

TransTel TDS-600 series has caller id routing but wouldn't you be better off with DID and each agent have their own number.

Depends on the use of the system......I wouldn't wanna pay for T1 and a block of DID numbers jsut to use at home!

What if you only require a couple of phones line. Why would you want to pay for an entire 24 trunk T1 and a 20-block of DID numbers if you could just route the call from the system. The DID only works with T1/PRI, not with reqular phone lines! Does anyone know about any of the Samsung models, ESI or the Pasasonic TD50? Thanks.

To me, CID routing is mostly for home use. The people you put in are calling from a single line: home, cell. Most business have multiple lines, and only if thier switch or thier dialtone vendor sends same ID for All lines would it work. KXTDA and TAW systems have CID routing. All the Voice mail units from 95, 125 and the new TVA have it. I think the TVS 50 also does it.

Don't forget the Inter-tel Encore CX. It is a 40 station system that has Caller ID routing.

There are some (limited) CID routing features built in to some Norstar Voice Mail systems. You can even play a custom voicemail greeting based on CLID. I agree with brokeda regarding the limited application in business though. I've only seen it used for the home and spouse's cell phone numbers of the system users.
